2 out of 3 ain't bad.
Unfortunately for Madden 13, it's not good either.
The graphics are solid (HDR lighting, motion blur, gradual lighting progression, etc.) and the gameplay is fluid and more realistic than the recent iterations thanks to the Infinity engine. Please fix the gratuitous and awkward replays.
Unfortunately, the presentation mostly stinks. In terms of immersion into CCM, it would be nice to have a radio show or even a TV show at the beginning of the week highlighting the most important games. It would be great to have a pregame show (think about adding Dan Marino and the rest of the CBS Sports pregame staff) in which the strengths and weaknesses of each team are discussed and likely game-plans described with a focus on key players.
In terms of halftime and post-game commentary/highlights, feel free to look to 2k5 for inspiration.
Most of your purchasers (my guess is about 70 percent) play franchise/CCM modes. Improving that area should be your biggest focus. One great way to improve it would be to greatly improve the product in the presentation department.
